Arnold Rose, Edna Rose- tutors who cheat

I think I owe it to all my blogger friends to tell you all what is keeping me away from you guys.
Well firstly there were some fitness video shoots, exciting new projects of fitness, more than normal number of personal trainings. This is a wedding season and everyone- bride and friends want to look their best, more fit, toned and sculpted.
Then the fitness certification was on. This is for aspiring fitness trainers.
All the above is a good news and something positive.
But here comes something negative and disgusting.
You all know I have two sons- Sarthi and Siddharth. Siddharth is now in 10th and going to appear for his CBSE board.
I had two tutors for him- They were a husband wife duo team- Arnold Rose and Edna Rose. Both are crooks. In fact, I had earlier hired Arnold and on his recommendation, I hired his wife for teaching Siddharth Science. The whole year, these crooks kept extracting money from me. They were very inconsistent, irregular, arrogant and unsystematic. But we Indians have been born and brought up with one concept in mind, where we respect our Gurus and Teachers, come what may.
Initially, they showed me rosy pictures- “Your son is brilliant, he is a 90% material, he is a born genius.” I am not denying that he is not but, any parent would of course love to hear all this. There were complaints coming from school but these tutors kept saying, all is good. I don’t need to be worried at all. If I asked Arnold Rose, whether Siddharth was doing his home work, he would say, “I am one of the tutors who knows his job. If a child has not done the work, instead of complaining to the parents every time, I will make him do it in front of me.” There were false promises and hopes all year round.
Then they started being very irregular. Sometime it was their daughter who was not well, sometime there was a death in the family, sometime Arnold had a injury, sometime Edna’s health was not fine, sometime they wanted a break to take the family on an outing and then to top it all, finally they put the blame on Siddharth that he is “not responsible enough” to call them up. I asked them, “did they need an invitation” every time to come and teach. I asked them to give me fixed number of days and time and the answer was, “no we cannot be that organized.” Imagine a teacher saying that. Anyways, I started taking the matter in my hands and would call every morning to check if they had time to spare for my son and would still hear those excuses. I knew, his board exams are near and if these crooks were abandoning my child at the last minute, I as a mother could not do it. I started teaching him myself, only to find out that these cheats had done no work all year round and were now running away at the last minute so that they did not have to face the responsibility.

I am a professional too and know how things work. If I have charged a young girl who is about to get married and given her a hope that on the day of her marriage, these are the changes, that she should see, then I better be responsible for her. I can’t make excuses like -see you ate an ice cream so what can I do? It would be so ethically wrong if I keep charging her for all year and when her wedding date is approaching and I realize that I have failed to deliver the promised result, I just say that I quit the job. This is not how things are suppose to work.

Siddharth is presently studying 16- 18 hours a day. He is showing his sincerity and hard work. He has his pre boards starting on 12th of this month and boards from 4th March. But these crooks, suddenly decided that they do not want to teach him. At this last minute, it is difficult to find another tutor. And I know that these crooks are doing it for money. They must have got some tuition, who would be paying them more money in the last month. Otherwise I see no other reason or fault of my son in this.
And Arnold Rose even had the audacity of telling me that because I am interfering, he would not like to teach my son. I told him that any mother has the right to be concerned about her ward.

Well, with or without Arnold Rose and Edna Rose, Siddharth will fare well. I will make sure of that. He does not need such teachers of such low ethical and moral values. His mother will be there with him through thick or thin. On this blog itself, I will share with you guys his good result.

This article is to tell you friends why I have been away and need to give more time to Siddharth.

It is also to let the whole world know to Beware of such teachers who do not hesitate to play with an innocent child’s future for their own vested interests. They squeeze parents whole year round of their hard earned money, give false hopes and run away from their responsibilities at the last minute. Think before hiring such teachers.
